Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts belongs to the Robertses' fourth generation who live in the Atlanta area, starting in the family of her grand-father John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father was an early interest in theatre. When he was being a student at Emory University, he performed at several shows in Atlanta. He joined the air force in 1953 and, while being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi, was a part of the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in the air force. They were married in 1955. Their baby son Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter was an undergraduate at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. The year 1957 was the year they quit the Air Force and Walter began studying at Tulane. The family relocated in 1960 to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working for Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The year 1964 was when Walter together with Betty Lou began production on the local Saturday morning children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies which they financed themselves. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou established their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. The organization lasted for a total of about six years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also also known as Lisa) and Julia (also also known as Julie) throughout this time.
