Katherine Heigl discusses how growing up as a child living in a white bubble changed the way she raised her multiracial family. The "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" star shared in an interview recently that -- when it came to the color of her skin, it wasn't a factor for her what she wore, but after she spoke about her sister's age, whom she adopted by South Korea, she realized how different society treated each of them. When I asked Meg about how she was treated while out in public, either with or without our parents, the treatment was very distinct. She responded "Oh Yes! All the all the time!" Heigl told her parents this made her realize how foolish she was. She said that she was angry and felt that she had to channel this anger to support her children. Heigl as well as her 13-year-old husband -- the singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters of South Korea, and Adalaide (8 an African-American child) in 2012.
