Jenna Fischer's most well-known character is Pam Beesly in the highly acclaimed television series The Office. She received 2 SAG Awards and an Emmy for her exceptional performance in an ensemble comedy.
She was raised primarily in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna spent her childhood watching her mother Anne performing in church plays. It instilled in her a passion for theater.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. The play was followed by her participation in the world premiere of Steve Martin's newest production Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show at the Old Globe Theatre.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey started the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since become wildly popular, landing within the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads over its first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's the author of The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide (coauthored by Angela Kinsey) In it, her story of moving from St. Louis to Hollywood and becoming a working actress is narrated. The Office BFF's : Tales of The Office by Two Best Friends that Were There is as well a personal memoir about Angela Kinsey and herself, and their collaboration for The Office.
